The town hall, civic hall and community library form the cornerstones of the newly created town hall square. The stone town hall juts out in front of the row of houses on the main street, making it a striking entrance to the town of Markt Heroldsberg. Access is via a three-storey, light-flooded hall. The council chamber on the upper floor is oriented towards the town hall square and town center with its large window. The citizens' hall makes use of the jump in level on the north side of the square, creating a second, upper entrance level to the town hall. The hall opens generously onto the sunken forecourt, which serves as a summer foyer.
