A folded solitaire forms the southwestern head of the development island between Hauptstätter Straße and Bohnenviertel. As such, it is an integrative part of the urban structure, while its concise building form makes it clearly identifiable as a cultural building.

The interior of the building is conceived as a walk-in spatial sculpture that provides access to all areas relevant to the public, enables a variety of relationships between the floors, and thus emphasizes the communicative character of the building. This also applies to the large openings in the façade, which are assigned to the foyer spaces and link the inside with the outside, visitors with the city.
