The existing university of applied sciences will be extended to the south, adjacent to the green area of the medieval glacis. The library and seminar building will form an elongated structure that closes off the existing building structure and leads into the depths of the site. Together with the laboratory building and the lecture hall building as well as the existing foundry hall, a self-contained urban disposition has already been achieved in the first construction phase. Future extensions can take place along the north-south running campus strip, which creates a pedestrian connection to the Danube terrace. The alternating two- and three-storey staggered structures ensure an appropriate scale for the university of applied sciences. The façades are clad with anodized expanded metal panels, the brightness of which is graduated upwards.
