As an extension to the technical town hall from the 1950s, the design proposes a high-rise slab building that leaves room for green outdoor spaces and does justice to the inner-city situation. The old and new buildings are connected on the lower floors to form a circular walkway around a newly created inner courtyard. The façade of the extension, which has been optimized in terms of energy efficiency, draws on motifs from classic high-rise architecture.
