The mighty cedar not only characterizes Falkenhagener Feld, but also our design for the new meeting center. The new building is positioned as a clear boundary on the northern edge of the square and responds to the existing large tree with a characteristic bend. This bend also creates a “suction effect” towards the building, thus compensating for the weak southern edge of the square and creating a clear definition of the urban space. The direction of the new façades also establishes a clearly perceptible relationship to the Falkenau clubhouse grandstand, which is thus linked even more closely to the square.
