A forecourt will be created in the intersection area, which will become the common address for the schools in Steinpark. The middle school will be accessed from the square to the north and the elementary school to the east. Each school will have its own entrance and a dedicated foyer. The basic idea of the project lies in the intersection figure of the building, which transfers the functions into a clear order using the topography. A wide staircase leads down the slope to the canteen on the garden level. The sports hall forms the eastern end of the building. The class houses rise above the strong base, giving the new building an appropriate scale. Green plaster with a horizontal broom finish characterizes the class houses, whose windows are framed by precast concrete elements. The staggered heights of the building follow the contours of the terrain, so that the secondary school forms a powerful southern end to the Angers. Together, the schools enclose the tree-lined playground.
